St Andrew’s School is an independent, co-educational Anglican primary school with an established tradition of providing a relevant and liberal Christian education in a caring, family environment.

The School acknowledges the importance of respecting the developmental pathway of each child, the role parents play in the education of their children and the significance of a co-educational experience.  We offer a unique opportunity for students to develop their full potential in their formative years.  This is achieved by focussing on the critical skills of literacy and numeracy, and by providing an innovative and imaginative curriculum designed to foster intellectual curiosity, creativity and feelings of self-worth.

Additionally, through the curriculum we ensure that students have a strong sense of self and an understanding and appreciation of their own history and culture and that of other people and places. Our internationally focussed curriculum aims to develop in the students an awareness of the intrinsic value of human diversity and the commonality of our humanity.  From these ethical underpinnings we encourage our students to develop new ways of thinking and acting.

To achieve these outcomes, we synthesise the best research and practice from St Andrew’s School, with the wealth of knowledge and practice from national and international schools. This creates a transdisciplinary curriculum founded on a thorough study of the disciplines.  Above all, the School’s programmes aim to lay the foundations for life-long learning by using an inquiry methodology to develop the skills of questioning, research, communication, and social and self-management skills.
