Space Camp

Space Camp Poster

If your child is in Years 3-7 no doubt you have heard of Space Camp. Applications open on Monday and children are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity.

I would like to thank Mr Boden, Mr Hannigan and Mrs Egarr for all of their work in creating this experience for our children. As you would be aware, spaces are limited (to 24 students) and we are asking children to apply for a position.

Should you wish your child to apply, we ask that you encourage them to take responsibility for their own application and the timeline attached to it. The process is to ensure children are truly committed to coming along to Space Camp due to their own interest and passion about space and science.

As such, parents should support creating the video or writing the short submission required, but we ask you do not coach or do the application for your child. As teachers we have a keen eye and those applications who are written from a child’s heart, with a child’s ideas are easily identifiable and something to celebrate.

So, we ask that you give your child space to be creative, support when asked to help, and let them shine in their passion! This is at the heart of as St Andrew’s education!

The full program and details on how to apply for Space Camp will be available on this page from 5.00pm Monday 17 May.

Applications for Space Camp will open at 5.00pm on Monday 17 May and close at 5.00pm on Monday 24 May. Early or late applications will not be considered.

Please note that activities are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
