ICT Assistant

St Andrew’s School, Walkerville, is an Anglican Independent Co-Educational Specialist Primary School covering Early Learning to Year 7. After 170 years we are proud of our exceptional student outcomes, rich history and strong community.

Applicants are sought for a highly skilled ICT Assistant for a newly created part time role (0.5 FTE) at the School. The ICT Assistant is accountable for providing ICT assistance and support to the ICT Manager to ensure the ICT administrative functions of the School are managed efficiently and effectively.

Your main duties will include but are not limited to:

·         Liaising with staff, students, parents or third parties, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.

·         Assisting with creating procedural documentation for staff and students.

·         Assisting with creating ICT training resources for staff.

·         Assisting with ICT professional development sessions for staff.

·         Maintaining an accurate list of ICT equipment across the school.

·         Assisting the ICT Manager in providing technical assistance, support and troubleshooting in the resolution of system communications failures and conflict.

Requirements:

 ·         Experience in Windows and Mac operating systems

·         Knowledge and experience of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016

·         Experience working with Office 2016, Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint

·         Training and development experience

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Good problem solving skills

·         Ability to prioritise and balance multiple projects simultaneously

·         Ability to work in a team

ELC Administration Assistant and Co-Educator

St Andrew’s School Walkerville is an Anglican Independent Co-Educational Specialist Primary School covering Early Learning to Year 7.  After 170 years we are proud of our exceptional student outcomes, rich history and strong community.

The School is seeking an experienced ELC Administration Assistant and Co-Educator for a 12 month fixed term maternity leave contract position. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled administrator and educator who has experience and understanding of Early Childhood pedagogical principles and are willing to become an active member of the Early Learning Centre staff. An ability to work in both roles will be highly sought after however applicants considering the Administration role only are also encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will be motivated, organised and be able to adapt to a dynamic work environment and must be able to respond flexibly to a multitude of situations which can arise within the framework of a school day. Must be competent in the creation of Inquiry Based learning and energised by working with talented staff in a future focused school.

 Candidates will be required to meet the following selection criteria:

·         Hold a current Working with Children Check

·         High level of experience in secretarial support, data entry, proof reading, diary management

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Proficient computer skills, including the full Microsoft Office suite

·         Highly organised and willing to contribute within a team environment

·         Highly focused on achieving student outcomes to develop the whole child

·         A high level of competency in Early Childhood education

·         Supportive of independent education and the School’s Anglican ethos

·         Supportive of the Reggio Emilia educational principles, inquiry based learning

·         Knowledge of the IB PYP and Early Years Learning framework (EYLF) are desirable

·         Positive, flexible approach to work with a can-do attitude

·         Use best endeavours to maintain, promote and advance the reputation and the success of the School
