Co-curricular Electives
At St Andrew’s School we offer an extensive co-curricular program. Students may elect to participate in a wide range of additional activities provided the relevant program is offered to their year level. Session times are scheduled or flexible depending on the activity and are conducted by teaching staff, specialist coaches and tutors. Elective activities are offered on a user-pays basis.

Music
Instrumental Music Program
The Instrumental Music Program is the second element of Music at St Andrew’s with upwards of 350 students involved in instrumental and vocal lessons every week across the full range of orchestral instruments. Individual and group lessons are available on an optional basis, and the quality of the teaching staff contributes to the excellence achieved by our students.
Ensemble Program
The Ensemble Program is the third element of Music at St Andrew’s. Within the ensemble programme there are graded pathways offering the full range orchestral, concert band and choral experiences, including Handbell Ringing and St Andrew’s Orchestra as feature opportunities.
Concert Band Program
The Concert Band Program offers a choice three graded Concert Bands, a Stage Band and numerous chamber ensemble opportunities for children studying woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

Sport
Sport is an important part of life at St Andrew’s School. Sport improves fitness and wellbeing and also provides lessons in teamwork and how to cope with disappointment as well as success. School sport is not compulsory but highly encouraged for all children in Years 4 to 7.
We are a member of the Independent Schools Sport Association of SA and a member of SAPSASA. We abide by the sport guidelines established by these bodies as we play sporting fixtures with other member schools.
Children from Years 4 to 7 have the opportunity to participate in inter-school competition in the following sports:

Special PE Events/Activities
Multi-Sports Clinics
Running for a 5 week period across each Term, children from Reception to Year 2 can participate in Multi-Sports Clinics to improve skills in a number of different sports.
