Vacation care

St Andrew’s Early Learning Centre provides a Vacation Care Programme for our ELC children, as well as children in Reception to Year 2. This leisure programme allows children to be supported and cared for in a friendly, familiar and supportive environment during holiday time. Staff are predominantly teachers from the ELC who have built up strong and trusting relationships with the children over one or many years as they move through the School.

Children may arrive from 8.00am and are to be picked up by 6.00pm. There are no prepared meals during Vacation Care and children are asked to bring along a packed lunch and snacks. Water is readily available but drinks may also be brought in.

The programme of activities is published in the School Bell approximately 4 weeks prior to the beginning of Vacation Care. These may include cooking, jumping castles, science days, animals visiting the centre and a range of age appropriate activities.

Child Care Rebate is a different payment from Child Care Benefit. To receive Child Care Rebate you must first claim Child Care Benefit for approved care. Child Care Benefit is based on your income and is different for everyone.
