St Andrew’s School Master Plan - Designing Their Future

In 2016, St Andrew’s School launched its campus development Master Plan - 'Designing their Future'.

A target of $1 million was set to support the project. Stage One of the Master Plan involved building extended Early Learning Centre facilities and to refurbish Reception classrooms, which was completed in February 2017.

2020, our 170th year, provided the milestone for us to celebrate our past and look to the future. We began Stage Two of the Master Plan and an exciting new facility has been built where Kennion House previously stood.

A major focal point from Smith Street, the building known as Tarrkarri, a Kaurna word for "Future", creates an impression of prominence, innovation, excellence and contemporary learning. Emphasising our iconic St Andrew’s Cross identity, the building design reflects the geometry of the cross and incorporates the navy and white of our School’s corporate colours.

Tarrkarri is designed to encourage transparency, allowing integration of outside and inside spaces. A feature of the design is the high volume expansive spaces, created to promote blue sky thinking and provide opportunities for large scale investigative projects.
