ACER Academic Scholarship
The ACER Academic Scholarships are available to students entering Years 3 or 4 in 2027.
Successful candidates may receive a remission of up to half of the base tuition fees each year, continuing until the conclusion of Year 6 at St Andrew’s School.
The objective of the Academic Scholarship is to acknowledge and enhance students’ academic abilities, ultimately supporting them in reaching their full academic potential.
As part of the application process, students will be required to take part in a standardised test that is externally moderated. The ACER Scholarship Tests are used nationwide to identify academically capable students.
Applicants are required to demonstrate a range of skills such as the ability to interpret, infer, deduce and think critically. The tests are not curriculum-based and do not test the ability to retrieve learned knowledge, nor are they diagnostic.
All external applicants are expected to submit additional information to St Andrew’s School before the application deadline, as explained here.
The registration deadline is 5:00pm on Wednesday 21 January 2026.
The scholarship examination will take place at St Andrew’s School on Saturday 7 February 2026.
Music Scholarship

As part of the application process, students will be required to complete an aural exam demonstrating a high music ability to play on two instruments. Two contrasting pieces of music for the main instrument and one piece for each additional instrument, including voice, is required for the exam.
