Scholarships

St Andrew’s School’s Scholarship Program celebrates our rich tradition of aiding students in benefiting from and contributing to our academic, co-curricular programs, and the broader school community.

Our Program aligns with the vision of our founders who established the School to provide access to elementary children of the industrial classes within the principles of the teaching of the Church of England.

We endeavour to provide students with an opportunity to study at St Andrew’s School that they might not have otherwise had.

Our Scholarship Program recognises students’ personal attributes, academic achievements and their potential across a range of areas. It also attracts a diverse range of students to the School.

Successful applicants are expected to exhibit a positive contribution to all facets of School life while also maintaining a satisfactory level of academic performance.

Should you wish to tour the School prior to applying, tours with the Principal can be arranged by contacting our Enrolment Managers, Helen Charles and Brooke Blackburn, on 08 8168 5511 or by email at enrolments@standrews.sa.edu.au

Please note: all Scholarships are available to both external and internal students, except for Bright Futures, which is exclusively open to external applicants.

St Andrew’s School offers the following Scholarship opportunities:

ACER Academic Scholarship
Music Scholarship
Bright Futures Scholarship

ACER Academic Scholarship

The ACER Academic Scholarships are available to students in Years 4, 5 or 6 in 2025.

Successful candidates may receive a remission of up to half of the base tuition fees each year, continuing until the conclusion of Year 6 at St Andrew’s School.

The objective of the Academic Scholarship is to acknowledge and enhance students’ academic abilities, ultimately supporting them tin reaching their full academic potential.

As part of the application process, students will be required to take part in a standardised test that is externally moderated. The ACER Scholarship Tests are used nationwide to identify academically capable students.

Applicants are required to demonstrate a range of skills such as the ability to interpret, infer, deduce and think critically. The tests are not curriculum-based and do not test the ability to retrieve learned knowledge, nor are they diagnostic.

All external applicants are expected to submit additional information to St Andrew’s School before the application deadline, as explained here.

Applications are now open and will close on Wednesday 24 January 2024.

As part of the application process, students will be required to complete an aural exam demonstrating a high music ability to play on two instruments. Two contrasting pieces of music for the main instrument and one piece for each additional instrument, including voice, is required for the exam.
