Concert Band Program

The Concert Band Program is made up of Junior, Intermediate and Senior Concert Bands, a Stage Band, and numerous ensemble opportunities for children studying woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

Instrumental Music Program

St Andrew's offers the Instrumental Music Program which covers the full orchestral range of instruments. More than 350 students attend instrumental and vocal lessons every week. The excellent results our students achieve is testament to the high quality teaching staff.

Ensemble Program

St Andrew's also offers the full range of orchestral, concert band and choral ensembles, including Handbell Ringing and St Andrew’s Orchestra as feature opportunities.

Strings Program

The Strings Program at St Andrew's involves over 150 students. Each student learning a stringed instrument has the opportunity to be involved in one of our four String Orchestras.

Sport is an important part of life at St Andrew’s School. Sport improves fitness, wellbeing and provides children with great opportunities to enjoy personal success, teamwork and how to cope with disappointment. School sport is not compulsory but highly encouraged for all children in Years 4 to 6.

St Andrew’s School is a member of the Independent Schools Sport Association of SA and a member of SAPSASA (South Australian Primary School Amateur Sports Association).

We abide by the sport guidelines established by these bodies as we play sporting fixtures with other member schools.

Children from Years 4 to 6 have the opportunity to participate in inter-school competition in the following sports:

Special PE Events/Activities

St Andrew's runs a number of special PE events throughout the year including:

  • Cross Country Run
  • Sports Day
  • Swimming Carnival

Multi-Sports Clinics

Running for a 5 week period across each Term, children from Reception to Year 2 can participate in Multi-Sports Clinics to improve skills in a number of different sports.
