Welcome to Term 2 and another term filled with many wonderful occasions and events to look forward to. Although many children had a 2-week break from school for the holidays, we were pleased to accommodate children and families during the holidays at one of our Holiday Programs. Whether it was cooking in the ELC, looking after farm animals, gardening, or enjoying an indoor jumping castle in Vacation Care for our E-Year 2 children, or kayaking, looking for dolphins, snorkeling, or visiting animals at Monarto Zoo on Safari Camp, there was something for everyone!

We are excited to announce the return of the Grandparents and Special Friends Day for 2023. Please save the date for an ELC-Year 6 combined event on Friday 8 September.

The Parents' Association (PA) has already supported the Sports Day Finale with the BBQ and food stall, and now they are gearing up for the Mother's Day Stall in Week 3. We would like to express our gratitude to the PA team for their contribution to the Sports Day Finale and their focus on Fundraising and Friendraising.

This term, we also welcome Mrs Emma Huang, a familiar teacher and educator to many children in our school. Emma will be covering Mrs Yu Qin’s Chinese Mandarin lessons for the term, as we wish Yu a safe and welcomed return trip to China.

The LearnEd was sent to all families via Seesaw last week, providing details of events throughout the term. Additionally, please ensure you continually read The Bell and any other notices from the School. There are often additional events to participate in and be aware of.

A friendly reminder about car safety, parking, and being respectful to drivers and passengers. As a primary school, we are surrounded by our youngest children, and we expect care and respect from our community. While safety is paramount, tolerance and kindness are also achievable.

I look forward to the events of Term 2 and the opportunities to continue building our strong community.
