Where Bright Futures Begin
Welcome to Term 3 in the ELC
We have had such a fantastic start to Term 3 in the ELC. We have warmly welcomed 22 new families to the ELC and supported almost 40 children in their transition to Habich. The ELC is just the beginning of their St Andrew’s journey and I am confident that they will soon become an active part of our community and enjoy all that St Andrew’s has to offer.
On the first day back, children were welcomed into their respective rooms where they immediately began to develop a sense of belonging through the recognition of their name and in some cases, a photograph within the room as well as connection to the educators whom they had already started to become acquainted with. It was certainly a busy, but positive day with our older ‘helping hands’ competently paving the way for our new children, modelling the rhythm and regular routines throughout the day. We are so proud of them all.
A huge thank you to Despina Nimpis and our Vacation Care staff for a very busy and successful holiday program. Our E-2 students were able to participate in a number of exciting and fulfilling experiences including Taco Tuesday, a Disco Party, Yoga, African Drumming and a Tri-skills session incorporating Dance, Sport and Gymnastics!
We look forward to getting to know all of our new families more closely over the next few weeks. Thank you to those who have already responded to our ‘Getting to know your child’ surveys to share such important information that only you, as parents, can provide. We hope you are enjoying the timely updates provided on Seesaw so that you can feel a part of your child’s learning at St Andrew’s.
